Company Description

Townsend Contracting is a reputable, privately owned BM Trada Q-Mark certified contractor specialising in turnkey block restoration, including fire door installation and maintenance, passive firestopping and drylining. With a growing pipeline of fire safety projects across the UK.

Townsend Contracting currently delivers large scale fire safety and restoration works on behalf of some of the UK's leading Build to Rent developers, with ongoing projects across major regional cities. This role offers the opportunity to become a key part of a growing business, working closely with the Managing Director and supporting project teams across the country.

Role Description

This is a full-time role based in Liverpool City Centre, United Kingdom.

We are seeking an Office Administrator to join our new Liverpool office. This is a full time role, ideal for an enthusiastic, organised, and hard working individual who will play a key part in the day to day running of the office while providing direct administrative support to the Managing Director.

The successful candidate will support the day to day operations of the business by managing documentation, maintaining accurate records and coordinating with project teams. They will be highly organised, proactive and capable of managing multiple tasks while communicating professionally with clients, suppliers and colleagues.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm
Type: Permanent (subject to a successful 6 month probation period)
Salary: £28,500 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

Assist with administration and day to day office duties
Maintain organised project files including drawings, RAMS and QA documentation
Provide administrative support to site teams across multiple projects
Ensure all documentation is up to date and available for audits and client review
Liaise with site operatives, subcontractors, suppliers and management to gather information and relevant documentation
Assist with compiling handover documents and O&M information
Manage and process operatives' timesheets and invoices, ensuring accuracy
Help coordinate supplier orders and maintain records of materials delivered to site
Manage incoming calls, emails and correspondence
Assist with scheduling meetings and maintaining company records
Keep the office organised and running efficiently on a day to day basis
Undertake any other duties as required to support the efficient running of office operations

Requirements

A friendly, enthusiastic, and professional approach
Strong organisational skills and a high level of reliability
A proactive, self-starting attitude
A minimum of 2 years' experience in an office environment (essential)
Experience supporting directors or management (preferred)
Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with suppliers
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook
Previous experience within the construction sector (preferred but not essential)
