We are looking for a Transport Planner / Transport Coordinator who can take ownership of daily transport operations and help ensure our deliveries run smoothly from planning through completion.

You will play a key role in route planning, vehicle coordination, problem-solving, and improving transport efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

Transport Planning:
Plan and coordinate daily transport schedules, ensuring vehicles and drivers are allocated efficiently to meet operational requirements.

Route Coordination:
Create and update delivery routes while considering customer requirements, driver availability, vehicle capacity, and operational priorities.

Driver Communication:
Act as the main point of contact for drivers, providing support, resolving issues, and ensuring smooth communication throughout daily operations.

Customer Service Support:
Work with customers and internal teams to provide delivery updates, resolve transport-related queries, and maintain high service standards.

Transport Administration:
Maintain accurate records, update transport systems, complete reports, and support compliance with company procedures.

Problem Solving:
Respond quickly to delays, schedule changes, and operational challenges while finding practical solutions.

What We Are Looking For:

Experience:
Previous experience in transport planning, transport coordination, logistics coordination, fleet operations, haulage, distribution, or a similar role.

Industry Knowledge:
A good understanding of UK transport operations, delivery scheduling, route planning, and logistics processes.

Organisation Skills:
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy operational environment.

Communication Skills:
Confident communicating with drivers, customers, and colleagues while maintaining a professional approach.

Technology Skills:
Experience using transport management systems (TMS), logistics software, planning tools, or similar operational systems is desirable.

Mindset:
You are proactive, organised, and solutions-focused. You understand that successful transport operations depend on accuracy, teamwork, and effective communication.

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
