Full job description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team at Stoneyburn Pharmacy for 26 hours weekly. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications with good pharmacy counter skills and organisation, while providing exceptional patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of pharmacy operations and a commitment to maintaining high standards of service.

Duties

Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions, ensuring compliance with legal and safety regulations.
Assist in the preparation and administration of medication, providing guidance to patients regarding their treatment plans.
Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and patient information, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to optimise patient care and medication management.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
Keep the pharmacy environment clean, organised, and stocked with necessary supplies.
Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with pharmacy practices and regulations.

Requirements

Previous experience in pharmacy is highly desirable.
Knowledge of medication administration procedures and best practices in patient care.
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and team members.
A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in pharmacy practice.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while demonstrating initiative in individual responsibilities. Join us in making a difference in our patients' lives through quality pharmaceutical care!
To work Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and half day Saturdays.
