Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a care home cook. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. You will play a vital part in creating memorable dining experiences for our residents through your culinary skills and creativity.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu specifications.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
Assist in the planning and execution of menu items, including special dietary requirements.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as needed.
Provide excellent service by presenting dishes attractively and responding to resident feedback.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen environment or restaurant setting is essential.
Culinary experience, including food preparation and cooking techniques, is highly desirable.
Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations is required.
Familiarity with dietary needs, e.g allergens, texture modification, special diets
Experience in meal preparation for large groups or events is an advantage.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
A passion for cooking and serving high-quality food to residents is essential for success in this role.
