Hours: Part-time
Work Location: In person

Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly, organised and professional Hotel Receptionist to join our vibrant team.

As one of the first points of contact for our guests, you’ll play an important role in creating a warm and welcoming experience from arrival through to departure. This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys working with people, can stay organised in a busy environment and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.

Previous hotel or reception experience would be beneficial, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally important.

Responsibilities

Welcome guests and provide a friendly and professional check-in and check-out experience
Handle guest enquiries in person, by telephone and by email
Manage reservations, amendments and cancellations accurately
Process payments and maintain accurate guest records
Provide guests with information about the hotel, its facilities and the local area
Respond to guest requests and assist in resolving any issues promptly and professionally
Liaise with housekeeping and other hotel departments to ensure a smooth guest experience
Maintain a clean, organised and welcoming reception area
Complete general reception and administrative duties as required

Skills

Excellent customer service and communication skills
Friendly, approachable and professional manner
Strong organisation and attention to detail
Confident using computers and learning new systems
Ability to multitask and remain calm during busy periods
Reliable and punctual with a flexible approach to work
Previous reception or hospitality experience is desirable but not essential
