Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Laundry Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and hygienic handling of laundry services within our establishment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a professional environment, supporting the cleanliness and presentation standards of our facility. Previous hotel experience is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Collect, sort, and process laundry items according to established procedures
Operate laundry machinery safely and efficiently, including washing, drying, and folding equipment
Ensure all laundry is cleaned to the highest standards of hygiene and presentation
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laundry area at all times
Assist with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management when stock levels are low
Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to prevent accidents or contamination
Report any equipment malfunctions or issues promptly to the supervisor
Support other housekeeping staff as required to ensure smooth daily operations

Experience

Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred but not mandatory
Familiarity with laundry equipment and processes is advantageous
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Good organisational skills with attention to detail
Willingness to learn new skills and adhere to company standards
