Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mig Welder to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality welding operations, primarily using MIG welding techniques, to fabricate and assemble metal components. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your welding expertise within a dynamic and safety-conscious environment. Candidates should have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience working with various tools and materials, including sheet metal and power tools. A keen eye for detail and adherence to safety standards are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

Execute Mig welding tasks, specialising in MIG welding, on various metal components and assemblies
Fabricate, assemble, and repair products using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
Work with sheet metal and other materials to meet precise specifications and quality standards
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure accurate fabrication
Utilise basic maths skills to measure, mark out, and cut materials accurately
Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations
Assist in the setup and calibration of welding equipment as required
Conduct inspections of welds to ensure compliance with quality standards

Skills

Proficiency in MIG welding techniques with demonstrated experience in welding environments
Strong knowledge of fabrication processes involving sheet metal and assembly work
Competence in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively
Mechanical knowledge relevant to interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
Ability to perform basic maths calculations for measurements and material estimations
Familiarity with the use of various welding accessories and safety gear
Good organisational skills with attention to detail in completing tasks accurately
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
