The RHU INN is looking for a HEAD CHEF

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. Live in position available.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional culinary skills and a strong background in hospitality, with the ability to create innovative dishes while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and production. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for managing kitchen operations, supervising staff, and delivering an outstanding dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring that food is prepared to the highest quality standards.
Lead and manage a team of chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Develop and implement creative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times.
Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff to enhance their culinary skills and efficiency.
Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed while minimising waste.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Monitor food production processes to maintain consistency in taste and presentation.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within a professional kitchen environment.
Strong culinary skills with a deep understanding of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
Excellent leadership abilities with experience in team management and staff supervision.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
A passion for hospitality and delivering high-quality dining experiences to guests.
Strong communication skills to facilitate collaboration between kitchen and front-of-house teams.
