Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-time Bookkeeper to support our financial requirements. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with various accounting tasks. This role offers flexible hours and the opportunity to work within a professional environment, contributing to the smooth financial operations of our organisation.

Duties

Recording and reconciling financial transactions using recognised accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
Managing accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely processing of invoices and payments
Maintaining organised financial records and supporting documentation for audit purposes
Assisting with bank reconciliations and preparing financial reports as required
Monitoring expenses and ensuring compliance with organisational policies
Supporting year-end closing procedures and liaising with external accountants when necessary

Skills

Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general ledger management
Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time capacity
Good communication skills, both written and verbal

Pay: £15.00-£22.00 per hour

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Teesside
