Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Drivers Mate/Warehouse Operative to join our team. This role involves assisting with the delivery & collection of primarily confidential waste paper, handling warehouse duties, and ensuring the smooth operation of materials movement within our facilities. The successful candidate will play a vital part in supporting logistics and warehouse management, contributing to efficient operations. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous, along with the ability to perform heavy lifting and operate warehouse equipment safely.

Responsibilities

Assist the driver with loading and unloading goods from vans & lorries using appropriate handling techniques.
Support the delivery process by helping to secure loads and ensure safe transportation of goods.
Handling materials within the warehouse, including moving material to designated areas.
Ensure health and safety procedures are followed during all activities, including heavy lifting and materials handling.
Contribute to maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment.

Experience

Previous experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for those new to the role.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking hands-on experience in logistics, warehousing, and materials handling within a dynamic environment.
