Full job description

We are a boutique East London estate agency with a small block management team. We’re looking for a full time Service Charge Accounts Assistant to work in our Shoreditch office reporting to the Accounts Manager and working alongside the Block Manager and Property Manager. Please note this is not a hybrid role.

You must have an interest in property, an understanding of property management, a good telephone manner, and be able to deal efficiently and professionally with email correspondence. You will also need to be well-organised and able to manage your own workload. Previous experience in Block Management and of Blocks Online software is desirable but not essential. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Inputting records and bookkeeping entries
Preparing service charge and ground rent demands
Producing service charge and ground rent reports
Service charge credit control (incl. liaising with external debt collectors)
Answering queries from clients and leaseholders by phone and email
Assisting with service charge budgets
Providing year-end accounting information to auditors
Checking service charge accounts from auditors
Attending external client meetings
Reporting to and providing ad hoc support to the Accounts Manager
Liaising with the Block and Property Managers

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
