You must be a golf player, and have a keen interest in the game in order to apply for this role. If golf isn't mentioned on your CV, please send us a message outlining your experience. You don't need to be a high level player, but some experience is required.

The Golf Experience Lead is responsible for guiding our guests through their Five Iron Golf experience, ensuring exceptional guest experience and engagement by highlighting all the fun that golf and Five Iron have to offer.

What Is Five Iron Golf?

Five Iron Golf is bringing its industry-leading competitive socialising concept to London, combining immersive golf simulators with a premium hospitality experience at a flagship new location in the heart of the City of London.

Founded in New York City in 2017, Five Iron Golf has rapidly grown from a single Manhattan location into a global brand, with dozens of venues across the United States and an expanding international footprint.

As the Broadgate site marks the Five Iron UK debut, this is a rare opportunity to join the brand at the outset of an ambitious regional expansion.

For the serious golfer, Five Iron hosts 8 best-in-class simulator bays, Trackman lesson studios, access to teaching professionals, membership, practice time, leagues, top-of-the-line clubs that are free to use during your booking, and in-house club fitting services.

For those new to the game, our simulators feature intuitive, interactive game modes that make golf accessible, social, and easy to enjoy from the very first swing, while our dedicated bar, restaurant and outdoor terrace are the perfect spot for enjoying world class food, drinks and sports pre or post game.

The Role

Golf Experience team members at Five Iron are engaging and outgoing personalities, working directly with customers of all levels and abilities to guide them through the Trackman simulator technology, offering recommendations that elevate the play and practice experience for both seasoned golfers and first-time players alike.

Golf Experience team members earn commission as they upsell products such as memberships, league entries, club fittings, swing evaluations and lesson packages.

Hospitality experience is a positive but is not essential.
Experience with Trackman technology is encouraged but not essential.
Basic experience of playing golf is strongly encouraged.
An interest in golf and promoting Five Iron’s golf related products is essential

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

● Manage the Golf Experience team to deliver exceptional guest experience, overseeing pre-visit communications, onsite interactions, and post-visit follow-ups.

● Be the in-house expert on our golf simulator technology, using expertise to ensure guests have the best possible experience.

● Take pride in ensuring guests' enjoyment, actively checking in throughout bookings and promptly addressing any concerns

● Be comfortable selling & earning commission on golf based offerings such as leagues, memberships, swing evaluations, lessons and club fittings.

● Oversee the sales, execution, and management of Five Iron Golf leagues and tournaments throughout the year.

● Build relationships within the community, foster loyalty, and encourage repeat business through proactive engagement.

● Ensure the golf simulators, tables, chairs, and surrounding areas are clean and presentable.

● Assist in closing the venue as needed

Five Iron is open 7 days a week, from early mornings until late night.

The Golf Experience team are focused on evening service, from mid-afternoon until 11pm weekdays and midnight on the weekends.
