Assistant Sommelier £47k

Kudu Marylebone | London

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Sommelier to join our team at Kudu Marylebone.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional who is passionate about wine, cocktails, guest experience, and team development. Working closely with the Sommelier team, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional service while helping drive the performance and culture of South African wines.

Key Responsibilities

Support the day-to-day operation of the beverage.
Deliver outstanding guest experiences through confident wine and beverage recommendations.
Assist with wine service, staff training, and menu development.
Maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, and presentation.
Support stock control, ordering, and inventory management.
Help manage labour, rotas, and team performance.
Lead by example during busy services and inspire the team to perform at their best.
Ensure compliance with licensing, health & safety, and company procedures.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in a premium restaurant.
Strong wine knowledge; WSET qualification is essential.
Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment.
A positive attitude and willingness to develop both yourself and your team.

What We Offer

Salary £42,000 – 47,000, including discretional service charge and additional of excess tronc.
