FOOTBALL COACH – PLAYER PATHWAY / HOLIDAY CAMPS
WHU Foundation Beckton Office & outreach sites across East London and Essex
£15–£20 per hour | Sessional Contract | Timesheets required
Various evening/weekend hours during term time and school holidays. Sessions can range from 5:30pm–9:00pm weekdays and Saturdays between 9:00am–4:00pm. Holiday camps: Week commencing 20th July – Week commencing 28th August
Flexibility required.
ABOUT THE ROLE
West Ham United Foundation is looking for passionate and committed Football Coaches to deliver high-quality sessions across our Player Pathway and/or Holiday Camp programmes. Coaches will plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate sessions within a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment for young people.
Player Pathway – Evening and weekend sessions across East London and Essex working with male and female players within the WHU Foundation Player Pathway, delivering high-quality sessions to support player development.
Holiday Camps – Delivered during every school holiday across East London and Essex, providing fun, engaging, and inclusive football sessions for all participants.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
✅ Deliver safe, inclusive, and high-quality football sessions focused on technical skills, movement, and game understanding
✅ Coach and manage teams during fixtures and tournaments in line with WHUF values
✅ Build positive relationships with players, parents, colleagues, and stakeholders
✅ Monitor attendance, player progress, and programme feedback
✅ Maintain safeguarding, health, and safety standards
✅ Engage in ongoing professional development and additional duties where required
PERSON SPECIFICATION
✔️ FA/UEFA Coaching Qualification (minimum Level 2 / UEFA C preferred)
✔️ In-date FA Safeguarding Children & FA First Aid in Football qualifications
✔️ Experience coaching football, ideally within talent development
✔️ Full clean driving licence OR ability to travel via public transport
✔️ Enhanced DBS check (completed by WHU Foundation prior to start)
