About us

The mission of the UCL GOS Institute of Child Health is to maximise and advocate for the holistic health of all children, young people and the adults they will become, through world-class research, education and public engagement. The UCL GOS ICH, together with its clinical partner Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, forms the largest concentration of children’s health research outside North America. The 2024-29 GOS ICH strategy focuses on its five scientific programmes. GOS ICH’s activities include active engagement with children and families, to ensure that our work is relevant and appropriate to their needs. GOS ICH generates the funding for our research by setting out our proposals in high quality applications to public, charitable and industrial funding bodies and disseminates the results of our research by publication in the medical and scientific literature, to clinicians, policy makers and the wider public. About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Research Administrator to join our dynamic team within the Molecular & Cellular Immunology Section at UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health and Great Ormond Street Hospital For Children NHS Foundation Trust (GOSH). The post is suitable for a research administrator who wants to build experience in administering research projects and gain an understanding of research developments in rare diseases. You will be based within a busy research team and work across the University and Hospital on a large portfolio of advanced therapy trials for rare childhood disorders. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to develop a career in research administration for advanced therapy clinical trials. The post holder will gain experience in grant submission, administration and coordination of newly emerging gene therapy research trials. The post is covering a secondment post to 31st March 2027.

About you

The individual must have experience working in an administrative/PA role, preferably within an Education Institution. Applicants should have experience of working within a team and working towards deadlines. Finance and budget management would be essential too. The individual must be able to interact with a multidisciplinary team across the Hospital and Institute. The Individual must be able to multitask/prioritise in challenging circumstances and should be looking for a new and exciting challenge.
