Full job description

Operations & General

Overseeing and responsible for all operations and staff alongside the GM and AGM
Being a venue key holder and responsible for opening and closing of the venue when required
When opening the venue; ensuring all elements of the venue are ready to open i.e. lights on, benches out, restaurant set-up, dishwashers working etc
When opening; checking that all closing tasks were completed from the night before, reporting any issues to the Venue manager
When closing the venue; ensuring all areas of the venue are locked up and have been cleaned down accordingly
When closing, completing relevant venue handovers are completed
Always spot checking the venue and staff i.e. customer service, cleanliness
Managing wastage levels throughout shift and ensuring all wastage is being recorded
Managing the order flow and ensuring ticket levels are not too overwhelming
Raising any operational or venue issues to the venue manager
Liaising with host team on estimated table bookings
Ensuring security in right positions during trading hours
Managing venue cleanliness and waste management including back of house areas
Ensuring the customer experience and customer service levels are at a high level
Dealing with initial customer queries or complaints – before discussing with the general manager
Assisting venue manager on counting stock and ordering stock when are requested
Laundry counts, including dirty per night, on delivery and collection
Liaising with GM on local authorities and any office building requests
Assisting the chef team on ensuring restaurant has a smooth service and food quality is of the Head Chef’s standard
Completing due diligence online forms
Klaremont and bar kit ordering

Staffing & Staff Policies

Being the first point of contact for staff
Completing, uploading and communicating staff rota’s alongside Venue Managers
Ensuring all staff are presentable and wearing correct and suitable uniform i.e appropriate/clean t-shirts and no open shoes
Ensuring staff are meeting h&s and licence policies i.e. employee handbook
Overseeing the bar team and ensuring quality of drinks is of a high standard
Ensuring all relevant staff are in their correct roles and have had the correct training (completing briefings where required)
Signing of deputy hours – and approving shifts once the venue has been closed
Ensuring new staff have full inductions and training– leasing with the booking and programming coordinator and Venue managers on their role
Managing all staff breaks
Keeping staff motivated and an overall high morale within the venue team

EPOS & Menus

Assisting in any EPOS staff queries/ trouble-shooting any issues with iPads or printers
Ensuring staff are trained on all EPOS operations and discounts

Pay: £15.00 per hour
