The role includes undertaking regular shifts and providing holiday cover to ensure adequate staffing levels during colleagues' annual leave."We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented locum Pharmacy Dispenser/technician to join our team., with possible temp to permanent positions.The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing and sale of medications to patients. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a pharmacy environment. This job requires week day and occasional weekend working. Proscript experience is mandatory.Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
- Counter sales experience with good communication
- Provide exceptional patient care by answering queries regarding medications and their administration.
- Assist in the preparation and packaging of prescriptions, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of medication dispensation and inventory management.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare staff to optimise patient outcomes.
- Conduct regular checks on medication stock levels and expiry dates, reporting any discrepancies.
- Uphold cleanliness and organisation within the pharmacy workspace.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician/dispenser is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of medication administration and pharmaceutical practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks performed.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of patient care.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage positively with patients and colleagues.
- A commitment to continuous professional development in the field of pharmacy.
