Sales Executive – Thames Party Boats

Location: Edgware HA8

Job Type: Full-time, Office Based

Salary: Base Salary £25k – £27k + Commission Structure (OTE £32K - £35K)

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Sales Executive / Event Manager to manage the entire client journey from initial enquiry through to successful event delivery. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business, converting enquiries into bookings, coordinating event logistics, and ensuring exceptional customer service throughout the planning process.

Working closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams, you will organise and oversee a variety of events while identifying opportunities to maximise revenue through upselling and relationship building. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys both sales and event management.

Thames Party Boats is a leading events company specialising in party cruises and private events on the River Thames. We deliver unforgettable experiences through ticketed events, corporate functions, birthdays, private hire events, and themed cruises.

We are looking for a motivated and confident Sales Executive to help grow bookings, build client relationships, and maximise event sales.

Key Responsibilities

Respond promptly to enquiries and qualify prospective clients.
Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event organisers, agents, and private customers.
Convert leads into confirmed bookings
Liaise with clients to understand their event requirements, objectives, budgets, and expectations.
Coordinate with internal departments, suppliers, caterers, entertainers, and other service providers.
Ensure all event details, client requirements, and operational instructions are communicated effectively to relevant teams.
Upsell additional services, packages, catering, entertainment, and event enhancements.
Conduct post-event follow-ups, gather client feedback, and identify opportunities for repeat business and referrals.
Conduct outbound cold calls to generate business opportunities
Work closely with the operations and marketing teams to maximise sales opportunities
Manage a busy schedule, keep all information up to date

Requirements

Previous experience in sales, hospitality, events, minimum 3 years
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Confident telephone manner and ability to build rapport
Highly organised with good time management
Self-motivated and target-driven
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM systems is advantageous
Proactively generate new business through cold calling

Pay: £25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

Edgware HA8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
