Dental Receptionist / Administrator

EB Dental – Kentish Town, London

EB Dental is looking for a friendly, organised and motivated Dental Receptionist/Administrator to join our busy and modern dental practice in Kentish Town.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with patients, managing a busy reception and supporting the wider dental team. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to shadow our Treatment Coordinator, develop new skills and progress internally within EB Dental.

Availability to work at least two Saturdays per month is essential.

EB Dental is a growing dental group providing high-quality NHS, private and specialist dental care.

Our Kentish Town clinic offers general dentistry, dental implants, oral surgery, Invisalign, orthodontics, specialist endodontics, hygiene and cosmetic treatments.

The practice is equipped with modern digital technology, including CBCT, digital scanners, 3D printing and guided implant systems. We pride ourselves on providing excellent patient care in a professional, friendly and supportive environment.

Main Responsibilities

Welcome patients warmly and provide excellent customer service.
Answer telephone calls, emails and patient enquiries professionally.
Book, confirm, amend and manage patient appointments.
Manage clinicians’ diaries efficiently.
Take payments and issue receipts.
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
Follow up missed appointments and outstanding treatment plans.
Contact patients following consultations and help arrange their next appointments.
Support the Treatment Coordinator with patient communication and administration.
Help patients understand the next steps in their treatment journey.
Update referral stages and treatment progress accurately.
Support dentists, specialists, nurses, hygienists and the practice manager.
Keep the reception area organised, professional and welcoming.
Assist with general administrative duties and the smooth daily running of the practice.

Training and Career Development

For the right candidate, we offer the opportunity to shadow our experienced Treatment Coordinator and receive hands-on training.

You will have the opportunity to:

Learn how to follow up treatment plans.
Build confidence discussing treatment journeys with patients.
Develop patient communication and treatment-conversion skills.
Gain additional administrative and coordination experience.
Upskill and progress internally within EB Dental.
Work towards a more senior reception, administrative or Treatment Coordinator position.

We are looking for someone who wants more than just a reception role and is motivated to learn, develop and build a long-term career within our growing dental group.

Requirements

Previous dental reception or healthcare administration experience is preferred.
Excellent communication and telephone skills.
Friendly, professional and confident when speaking with patients.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Reliable, proactive and able to work well as part of a team.
Comfortable working in a busy and fast-paced environment.
Good written and spoken English.
Confident using computers, email and appointment-booking systems.
Experience using Dentally is desirable but not essential.
Treatment Coordinator experience is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.

Working Schedule

Weekday shifts.
A minimum of two Saturdays per month is required.
Reliable weekend availability is essential.
