Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant childcare team. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in childcare and early childhood education to make a positive impact on children's development and learning. The successful applicant will possess strong management and leadership skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. A valid driving licence is desirable to facilitate transportation needs.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality care and educational activities tailored to the developmental needs of children in the nursery setting
Plan, organise, and implement age-appropriate learning programmes that promote early childhood development
Supervise children during playtime, mealtimes, and rest periods, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times
Maintain accurate records of children's progress, behaviour, and any concerns to share with parents and team members
Lead and support junior staff members, fostering a collaborative team environment with strong management practices
Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and daily activities
Ensure the nursery complies with all health and safety regulations, including safeguarding policies
Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance childcare skills and knowledge

Requirements

Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early years setting
Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and childcare best practices
Demonstrated management and leadership capabilities within a team environment
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Ability to work effectively with children of various ages and backgrounds
Relevant qualifications in childcare or early childhood education (e.g., Level 3 Childcare Qualification or equivalent)
Valid driving licence is advantageous for transportation duties if required
A caring attitude combined with patience, organisation, and professionalism

This role is ideal for motivated individuals passionate about early childhood development who wish to contribute positively to children's lives while developing their professional skills within a supportive environment.

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
