Full job description

Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Bar and Waiting Staff to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver exceptional guest service in a dynamic environment. Candidates should possess a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail. Previous experience in restaurant or bar settings is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided. The successful applicant will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring guest satisfaction, and supporting the smooth operation of the venue.

Responsibilities

Taking orders from guests accurately and efficiently, providing friendly and attentive service throughout their visit
Serving food and beverages in accordance with health and safety standards, including alcohol service where applicable
Preparing and garnishing drinks, ensuring quality and presentation meet company standards
Maintaining cleanliness of the bar and dining areas, including clearing tables and sanitising surfaces
Assisting with food preparation tasks as needed, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
Upselling menu items to maximise sales opportunities while enhancing guest experience
Managing cash transactions accurately and handling payments securely
Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service policies
Providing excellent guest services by addressing enquiries promptly and courteously
Supporting team members to ensure efficient service delivery during busy periods

Skills

Prior experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper serving techniques
Ability to prepare simple food items and assist with basic food preparation tasks
Good organisational skills with effective time management to handle multiple tables efficiently
Excellent communication skills to interact positively with guests and team members
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
Experience or familiarity with kitchen operations or culinary practices is a plus
Ability to upsell menu items tactfully to enhance guest experience and increase sales potential
A friendly, professional demeanour with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding guest service
