What are we looking for?
The Finance Manager supervises and leads the Financial Accounting team, monitoring transactions, determining accounting treatment, leading period end closing and financial reporting and analysis. Reviewing reconciliations and ensuring reconciliations are completed properly. Supporting tax accounting and preparation of tax returns in cooperation with CCF Tax department and Head of Accounting and Internal Control. Coordinating external audit process and internal audit processes.

What will your duties include?
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Lead and oversee the financial accounting function across CCL.
- Manage and develop a team of two Financial Accountants.
- Direct the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Review accounting transactions and ensure compliance with CCL accounting policies, FRS 102 standards, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Provides advice and problem resolution for teams recording financial transactions
- Prepare and present financial analyses, management reports, and performance insights to senior leadership.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Business Support
- Support the annual budgeting and forecasting cycles
- Partner with Finance leadership to support business review meetings and provide financial insight on workforce planning, recruitment, and FTE management.
- Lead initiatives aimed at improving operational and financial efficiency.
- Contribute to strategic financial planning and support business growth initiatives.
Controls, Compliance & Audit
- Lead the reconciliation process for all CCL balance sheet accounts, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Manage VAT accounting activities and review VAT returns prior to submission.
- Work closely with the Head of Accounting and Corporate Accounting teams to coordinate external and internal audits.
- Review and strengthen internal control processes, ensuring compliance with governance and control frameworks.
- Identify opportunities for process optimisation and operational improvement across finance activities.
Stakeholder Management
- Build strong working relationships with internal departments
- Collaborate with senior finance stakeholders to support financial governance and operational decision-making.
- Act as a key finance contact for accounting, reporting, and control-related matters.
What we need from you?
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential
- Previous experience within the healthcare sector is desirable
- Good understanding of FRS 102 accounting standards and previous exposure to US GAAP is desirable
- Previous experience with Oracle desirable
- Previous experience managing a team is essential
- Familiarity with Power BI and other automation tools is desirable
