Job Overview

OWN TRANSPORT ESSENTIAL DUE TO LOCATION 3 MILES FROM SOUTHWELL NOTTS.

There are no public transport links to our location. Ideal candidate will live locally as traffic beyond the local area is heavy making the commute a long on if having to pass the major towns nearby.

We are seeking a skilled Bench Hand Joiner / Sprayer to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping base coat and top coat pine furniture with our paint spray gun to a high standard ensuring no defects are missed. Once painted each piece needs assemling and doors hung, handles and door catched fitted etc. This role involves working with various hand and power tools, ensuring precise joinery, and applying finishes through spraying techniques. The ideal applicant will have experience in carpentry, joinery, with a keen eye for detail and safety. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop specialised skills within a dynamic workshop environment.

This role involes working mainly solo but with other team members on occassion.

The role involves heavy lifting and carrying up and down stairs.

Responsibilities

Fabricate and assemble components using hand tools, power tools, and joinery techniques to meet project specifications
Operate spray equipment to apply finishes such as varnishes, paints, or lacquers with precision and consistency
Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards
Assist in the maintenance and organisation of workshop tools and equipment
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines whilst maintaining high standards of workmanship

Qualifications

Experience with power tools including drills, sanders, and sprayers
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling materials or finished products
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a busy workshop environment

Candidates should demonstrate a strong work ethic, safety awareness, and a commitment to producing high-quality craftsmanship. This role offers an engaging environment for those passionate about joinery and finishing work within the furniture industry.

Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
