I'm hiring on behalf of a supportive and forward-thinking construction company specialising in high-end, design-led projects. Working in partnership with leading architects, they deliver large-scale commercial developments and bespoke domestic builds.
The Role
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Joiner to join our team. This is a hands-on role focused on delivering high-quality joinery across a variety of projects, including bespoke domestic builds and large-scale commercial developments.
You will work as part of a team on-site, contributing to projects from early construction stages through to final finishing, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard, safely, and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out high-quality joinery work across a range of projects
- Work effectively as part of a site team to meet project deadlines
- Interpret and work from technical drawings and specifications
- Complete both first fix and second fix joinery tasks
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail
- Follow all health and safety procedures on-site
- Communicate effectively with site leads and other trades
- Ensure tools, materials, and work areas are well maintained
- Contribute to a positive and professional working environment
Project Experience & Types of Work
Applicants should have solid, practical experience across a range of joinery and construction work. Projects are high-end and design-led, often requiring precision and attention to detail.
Typical work will include:
High-End Finishing & Joinery
- Installation of kitchens, wardrobes, and fitted furniture
- Finishing work including skirtings, facings, panelling, and internal detailing
- Installation of staircases and bespoke joinery elements
- Working with a variety of materials to a high standard
Extensions & Refurbishments
- Supporting structural alterations and internal refurbishments
- Working on projects from strip-out through to final finish
- Maintaining professionalism when working in occupied homes
- Collaborating with other trades to ensure smooth delivery
New Build Construction
- First fix joinery including partitions, floor structures, and door linings
- Second fix joinery including doors, ironmongery, and finishing work
- Working from drawings to support full build delivery
Roofing Works
- Assisting with roof structures including trusses and cut roofs
- Supporting roofing installations and repairs
- Ensuring work meets required standards and specifications
Design-Led & Architectural Projects
- Supporting the delivery of bespoke and architect-led builds
- Working from detailed drawings and adapting to specifications
- Maintaining quality and precision in unique project environments
Commercial Projects
- Joinery work within commercial fit-outs and developments
- Working to programme deadlines and coordinated site plans
Person Specification
We are looking for someone who is:
- Skilled and experienced in joinery
- Reliable, hardworking, and takes pride in their work
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Proactive with a positive attitude
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality
- Adaptable and willing to work across different project types
- Professional in their approach on-site
Qualifications & Certifications
The following are desirable but not essential:
- CSCS Card
- Relevant Health & Safety training
- Full Driving License
Proven experience is more important than formal qualifications.
