Job Overview

(Currently looking for Thursday and or Saturday but open to options)

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Musical Theatre Teacher to inspire and nurture the next generation of performers. In this role, you will design engaging curriculum, lead energetic rehearsals, and foster a vibrant learning environment where students can develop their singing, acting, and dancing skills. Your enthusiasm for musical theatre will motivate students to explore their talents, build confidence, and perform with passion. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on aspiring performers while honing your teaching expertise in a lively, creative setting.

Duties

Develop comprehensive lesson plans that cover singing, acting, dance, and stage presence tailored to different skill levels
Lead rehearsals for school or community productions, guiding students through choreography, vocal techniques, and character development
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and collaboration among students
Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement
Organize and coordinate performances, ensuring students are well-prepared for live shows
Collaborate with other educators and production staff to create cohesive performance experiences
Maintain a safe and supportive space where students feel confident to express themselves through musical theatre

Skills

Proven experience teaching or directing musical theatre or related performing arts disciplines
Strong knowledge of vocal techniques, acting methods, dance styles, and stagecraft
Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students of diverse backgrounds
Ability to choreograph routines and teach dance fundamentals effectively
Creative mindset with the ability to design engaging lessons that cater to various learning styles
Organizational skills to manage rehearsals, performances, and student progress efficiently
Passion for musical theatre combined with a lively, energetic teaching style that energizes students and audiences alike

Pay: From £15.00 per hour
