Are you an experienced Senior Care Assistant ready to take the next step in your career? We are looking for several Senior Care Assistants to join our warm and dedicated team at The Grange Care Centre, a residential care home in the heart of Oxfordshire.

About the role

As a Senior Care Assistant, you'll be a trusted and visible leader on the floor — someone that colleagues look up to, and residents rely on. You'll combine hands-on care with a supervisory responsibility, helping to maintain the high standards that make The Grange a home that residents and families are proud to be part of.

Your responsibilities will include:

Acting as a role model for junior care staff, demonstrating best practice in all aspects of daily care
Supporting, mentoring and supervising care staff, helping them to develop their skills and confidence
Building meaningful relationships with residents, supporting them to maintain their independence, individuality and mobility
Completing, reviewing and updating resident care plans and daily written records accurately
Carrying out and reviewing holistic assessments for new admissions, including nutritional, continence and risk assessments
Completing assessment documentation in line with the home's requirements
Ensuring care is delivered with compassion, dignity and respect at all times

What we're looking for

Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant
A caring, patient and professional approach
Strong communication and organisational skills
The confidence and maturity to lead, support and inspire colleagues
Experience with care planning and documentation (desirable)
NVQ/QCF Level 2 or above in Health and Social Care (desirable)
