Company Overview

Jones Building Group is a West Country based building contractor managing over £20M in new construction and maintenance contracts for Providers of Social Housing and Local Authorities. We are committed to delivering high-quality services that enhance community living.

Summary

We are seeking a Painter and Decorator to Join our Property services division based out of our office in Yeovil, Somerset working in and around the Taunton area.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming
Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely completion of tasks
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Inspect completed work for quality assurance
Communicate effectively with team members and clients
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator in a construction setting
Strong knowledge of painting techniques and materials
Good communication skills to liaise with team members and clients
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Valid driving licence is preferred
Proficiency in English for effective communication
