We are currently seeking a compassionate and reliable Senior Care Assistant to join our team. The hours are 36 hours per week, Monday to Sunday on a rota basis.

We are currently seeking a Senior Care Assistant with a compassionate heart and a drive for excellence to join our dedicated team. This role is pivotal within our structure, ensuring the seamless delivery of Care and Support Plans to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medication to residents in line with policies, procedures, and medication management guidelines.
- Shift Leadership: Lead and organise the care team during shifts, ensuring duties are allocated appropriately and that residents receive high-quality care at all times.
- Running the Shift: Take responsibility for the smooth day-to-day running of the shift, responding to issues, supporting staff, and ensuring all tasks are completed.
- Care Planning: Update and maintain resident care plans to ensure they accurately reflect individual needs, preferences, and any changes in health or wellbeing.
- Risk Assessments: Complete and review risk assessments to promote resident safety and reduce potential risks.
- Appointment Coordination: Arrange and manage medical appointments for residents, including GP visits, hospital appointments, and other healthcare services.
- Emergency Response: Respond effectively to emergency situations, ensuring appropriate action is taken and senior management or healthcare professionals are contacted when required.
- Team Support and Supervision: Provide guidance, support, and supervision to care staff, helping maintain high standards of care.
- Communication: Liaise with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and colleagues to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records and complete all required documentation in line with care home policies and regulatory standards.
- Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety, safeguarding, and infection control procedures at all times.
