Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sandwich Maker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of delicious sandwiches while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. You will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, collaborating with fellow team members to deliver exceptional service to our customers. Responsibilities

Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to customer specifications and menu guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards.
Assist in food preparation tasks, including slicing meats, cheeses, and vegetables.
Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Engage with customers to take orders and provide recommendations, utilising upselling techniques where appropriate.
Monitor stock levels of ingredients and notify management when supplies need replenishing.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred but not essential.
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and measuring ingredients accurately.
Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards is highly desirable.
Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
A passion for culinary arts and food preparation is an advantage.
Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour when interacting with customers.
