The Role: Weekend Laboratory Assistant
As a busy UKAS accredited Microbiology Laboratory catering for an internationally recognised client, providing a fast, efficient and accurate service, we are now recruiting for a Weekend Laboratory Assistant.
This role will be based within our Quality Control Department, working in our independent laboratory situated at our Bonnybridge Site.
The successful candidate will assist with the testing of Culture Media, raw materials and environmental samples. This is a fast moving, high turnaround department, to ensure that all the testing is carried out in direct accordance with instructions, as well as in strict compliance with the relevant Standard Test Methods.
This role is suited for students currently studying a degree in a relevant science subject, looking for experience working in a Laboratory environment. Full training will be given to the successful candidate, you will have excellent attention to detail, with strong communication skills, and be a team player.
Hours of work:
This shift pattern rotates each week between:
- Saturday and Sunday (Variable Hours Contact - Flexible hours)

- Excellent attendance and timekeeping skills
- Your own transport as the site is remote
- You must enjoy working solo and learning new skills
- Have great focus and attention to detail, whilst meeting targets and deadlines
