Commercial Marketing Manager - £50,000-£55,000 per annum + up to 25% Bonus

The Opportunity

We're looking for a Marketing Sales Manager to lead the growth of Angling Direct's supplier-funded marketing and retail media offering across our omnichannel estate.

This is a highly commercial, relationship-driven role where success will come from your ability to build strong partnerships with our supplier network, identify opportunities, and secure investment in marketing campaigns that drive mutual growth. You will act as the key link between Angling Direct and our supplier brands, creating compelling marketing opportunities that generate revenue while increasing brand visibility, customer engagement and sales.

You'll play a pivotal role in developing and scaling our omnichannel media proposition, working directly with suppliers and brands to secure advertising investment across our store network, website, digital channels, customer communications and emerging media opportunities.

What You'll Deliver

Build and maintain strong strategic relationships with key supplier and brand partners.
Proactively identify, pitch and sell advertising and marketing opportunities across Angling Direct's omnichannel estate.
Develop and grow supplier-funded marketing revenue streams, delivering against agreed commercial targets.
Create compelling commercial propositions, media packages and rate cards that demonstrate value to suppliers.
Partner with brands to develop data-led campaigns across digital, CRM and retail channels.
Use customer insight and audience data to influence supplier investment decisions and demonstrate campaign value.
Identify and monetise new advertising opportunities across stores, online platforms, email marketing, social media and digital content.
Own campaign performance reporting, providing clear ROI and commercial outcomes to supplier partners.
Work closely with Buying, Retail Operations and Digital teams to align supplier activity with category plans, product launches and promotional calendars.
Continuously develop Angling Direct's retail media proposition to increase revenue and supplier engagement.

What We're Looking For

Strong background in media sales, commercial marketing, advertising sales, trade marketing or supplier partnerships.
Proven success in building and managing supplier or client relationships.
Experience selling marketing, advertising, sponsorship or promotional opportunities.
Commercially minded with strong negotiation and influencing skills.
Confident presenting proposals and securing investment from external stakeholders.
Ability to use customer data and campaign insights to support commercial conversations.
Experience operating in a retail, e-commerce, FMCG or omnichannel environment.
Self-motivated, target-driven and comfortable working with revenue objectives.
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels internally and externally.
