Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and friendly Hotel Receptionist to join our team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic hospitality environment, where organisational skills and a welcoming attitude are essential. The position is paid and suitable for individuals passionate about delivering outstanding guest experiences.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in and check-out procedures
Manage guest reservations, cancellations, and modifications efficiently
Handle phone enquiries with professional phone etiquette, providing accurate information about services and facilities
Respond promptly to guest requests, ensuring their needs are met with courtesy and professionalism
Maintain accurate records of guest information and billing details
Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure room readiness and resolve any issues promptly
Provide local information and recommendations to enhance guest experience
Uphold the hotel’s standards of hospitality, ensuring a welcoming environment at all times

Qualifications

Previous experience in hotel reception or guest services is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
Multilingual or bilingual skills are highly desirable to assist diverse guests effectively
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong phone etiquette
Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer service in a hospitality setting
Organised, attentive to detail, with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
Friendly demeanour with a professional appearance and attitude
Knowledge of hotel management software or reservation systems is advantageous
