Hours of work: Perrys are committed to working with our employees for a focus on a good work life balance. On a rota two morning shifts followed by two afternoon shifts.

Morning 8am to 1pm and Afternoon 1pm to 6pm, Monday to Friday 25 hours per week.

Joining us as a Telephonist / Switchboard Operator means you will deliver the highest standards of customer service. It is crucial that you demonstrate our People First values through regular communication, going the extra mile, and ensuring the customer’s experience at Perrys is as smooth as possible.

About the role:

As a Telephonist / Switchboard Operator you will be responsible for the customers first impression of our highly-respected dealership. Your day to day responsibilities will include:

Greeting all customers promptly and warmly upon entering the business. Directing customers to the required department and individual team member as promptly as possible and providing regular updates for customers waiting for a specific team member and offering alternatives if available.

Ensuring customers have adequate refreshment whilst waiting and that all customer facing areas of the business are clean and tidy.

Capturing customer details if appropriate and ensure timely follow up.

Displaying professional and brand awareness through both face to face and voice channels, ensuring prompt and professional answering of all telephone calls with an accurate transfer to other departments.

About you:

We are looking for a professional Receptionist, who will be able to deliver exceptional customer service and contribute to the smooth and effective operation of the dealership.

You must be self-motivated and able to respond to the increasingly sales based demands of the role, as well as being well organised and care passionately about exceeding customer expectations in this important, high profile front of house role.
