Shermaynes Engineering Ltd is a subcontract manufacturer of precision sheet metal and fabricated components/assemblies to a wide variety of prestige customers across the UK.
We produce in excess of 100,000 components each year, and the mix of work changes constantly, with each project introducing new products.
We currently need additional Welder/Fabricators, experienced in high quality MIG work, to join the team.
Essential skills include :
- The ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- The ability to work safely.
- Pride in your work.
Non-essential but very beneficial skills :
- Jig making and production of samples.
- Current counterbalance forklift certification.
Training will be provided for all tasks, and safe operation will be monitored.

A fabrication test will be part of the interview process, and this will form part of the discussion on hourly rates. Rates are extremely competitive at all levels.
Our working week is 37 hours : 8am to 4.45pm Monday to Thursday, with an early finish at 12pm on Fridays.
We offer 5 weeks of flexible, paid leave each year, plus Bank Holidays.
