Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accounting Manager to lead our finance team. The successful candidate will oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support strategic decision-making processes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a professional with a strong background in financial management and proficiency in various accounting software to contribute to the organisation’s growth and stability.

Duties

Manage and oversee all aspects of the organisation’s financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Supervise the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with recognised accounting standards.
Ensure accurate maintenance of accounts payable and receivable using recognised accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero.
Lead the implementation and optimisation of accounting systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Coordinate external audits and ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies.
Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimisation.
Mentor and develop junior finance staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Collaborate with other departments to support business planning, strategic initiatives, and operational improvements.

Qualifications

Proven experience in financial management within a similar organisation or industry.
Extensive knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other relevant platforms.
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and overall financial controls.
Demonstrable ability to lead a team effectively while managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Excellent organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Relevant professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA are highly desirable.
Proficiency in analysing complex financial data and presenting insights clearly to stakeholders.
