Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser or ACD/ACT to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and supporting pharmacy operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment committed to patient safety and well-being. Prior pharmacy technician/ dispenser experience is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. The position is paid and suitable for individuals passionate about contributing to community health.

Duties

Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions and pharmacy protocols
Assist with medication administration procedures under supervision, ensuring safety and compliance
Provide exceptional patient care by answering queries and offering medication-related advice
Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and update patient profiles accordingly
Support inventory management, including stock checks and reordering supplies as needed
Ensure the pharmacy environment adheres to health and safety standards at all times
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient treatment plans
Uphold confidentiality and privacy standards in all aspects of work

Experience

Previous pharmacy technician experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Knowledge of medication administration processes and patient care practices is advantageous
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach towards patients
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Basic IT skills for managing electronic health records and pharmacy systems
