Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Security Officer to undertake gatehouse and Reception duties at our premises. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment by monitoring access points, conducting surveillance, and ensuring the safety of personnel and property. This role is vital in safeguarding our site and preventing unauthorised access or loss. The position offers an opportunity to utilise your security skills within a dynamic environment, contributing to the organisation’s overall safety.

Duties

Monitor and control access to the premises through the gatehouse, verifying credentials of visitors and staff.
Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems to observe activity around the site, identifying any suspicious behaviour.
Perform loss prevention activities by patrolling designated areas and ensuring security protocols are followed.
Maintain accurate records of all visitors, deliveries, and security incidents in accordance with company procedures.
Respond promptly to security alarms or incidents, liaising with emergency services if necessary.
Provide first aid assistance when required, following established health and safety guidelines.
Report any security breaches or safety hazards to management immediately.
Ensure that all security equipment is functional and properly maintained.

Requirements

Valid SIA license required.
Previous security or gatehouse experience preferred
Good communication skills
Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
Ability to work shifts, including nights and weekends
Right to work in the UK

Pay: £12.71 per hour
