Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Cattery Assistant to join us. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our feline residents. This position offers an opportunity to work in a caring environment, supporting animal health and providing excellent customer service to pet owners. The role involves hands-on animal care, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting staff as needed.

Duties

Provide daily care for cats, including feeding, cleaning enclosures, and monitoring health status
Assist with the administration of medication and treatments.
Maintain a clean and organised cattery environment, ensuring hygiene standards are met
Handle cats gently and confidently, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times
Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their animals’ needs and care routines
Assist with inventory management of supplies and ensure equipment is maintained properly
Perform heavy lifting when necessary, such as moving supplies or equipment around the facility

Qualifications

Genuine passion for animal welfare and excellent animal handling skills
Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with pet owners
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently when required
Organised with good attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and record keeping
Reliable team player with a caring attitude towards animals and clients
Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends or holidays if required

Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
