Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy operations, ensuring that customers receive their medications accurately and efficiently. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Duties

Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications to patients.
Maintain accurate patient records and medication inventory.
Provide information to customers regarding prescription medications and over-the-counter products.
Process prescription orders and manage the cash register.
Ensure the pharmacy is clean, organised, and compliant with health regulations.
Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues in a professional manner.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.

Experience

Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is preferred but not essential.
Familiarity with pharmaceutical terminology and medication management is advantageous.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards customers.
Proficiency in using pharmacy software systems is beneficial.
