Retail Manager – Victorian Plumbing, Formby

At Victorian Plumbing, we’ve spent years becoming the UK’s favourite online bathroom retailer, but our Formby retail showroom is where the magic happens in person! We don't just sell taps and tiles; we help our customers turn their "bathroom blues" into the retreats of their dreams.

We are looking for a Showroom Retail Manager who is ready to take the plunge and lead our fantastic Formby team. If you’re a natural leader with a "can-do" attitude and a passion for top-tier customer service, you’ll fit right in. We aren't about high-pressure sales tactics; we’re about flowing with the customer’s needs and ensuring their experience is nothing short of sparkling.

What’s the Role?

As our Showroom Retail Manager, you’ll be the captain of the ship. Your day-to-day will involve:

Leading the Stream: Managing and motivating a small, friendly team to ensure they’re reaching their targets and providing expert advice.
Leading a Specialist Team: Coaching your team to move beyond "order taking" and into high-value design consultations.
Driving Growth: Using your commercial knowledge to identify local trade opportunities and elevate the showroom’s profile.
The Perfect Finish: Ensuring the showroom looks immaculate—from our luxury suites to our designer radiators—so customers can truly envision their dream space.
Smooth Operations: Overseeing our ‘Collect From Store’ service, coordinating with our dispatch warehouse, and making sure every customer leaves with a smile (and the right parcel!).
Customer Excellence: Ensuring every visitor receives a premium experience, from the first "hello" to the final delivery – I think we make a big deal over this, as someone who is in CS would have a great advantage, but maybe not the tech/spec knowledge of products.

Who You Are

We're not just looking for plumbing experts; we are looking for leaders.

You have a proven track record in Big-Ticket Retail (Kitchens, Bathrooms, Furniture, or Luxury Goods).

You are a "people person" who knows how to motivate a team to hit (and exceed) KPIs.

You have a keen eye for detail and design.

You are tech-savvy and comfortable using CRM.

Proven Leadership: You’ve steered the ship before and know how to manage rotas, performance, and team dynamics.
A Sales Mindset: While we aren't "hard-sell," you understand how to drive a team toward targets by highlighting the value of our incredible range.
A Sparkling Personality: You’re upbeat, professional, and pride yourself on being the helpful face of Victorian Plumbing.
Attention to Detail: You can spot a smudge on a chrome tap from across the room and ensure every transaction is handled quickly and effectively.

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

Location: 43 Stephenson Way, Formby, Liverpool, L37 8EG (Onsite)

Hours: Monday to Saturday (8:30am – 5:00pm) with a scheduled day off during the week. Sundays: Relax! We are closed.
