Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Parking Enforcement Officer to uphold parking regulations within our community. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring parking areas, issuing citations for violations, and ensuring the smooth flow of traffic. This role offers an opportunity to serve the public effectively while maintaining a professional and approachable demeanour. Candidates should possess strong leadership qualities and excellent report writing skills to document incidents accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Monitor designated parking zones to ensure compliance with local regulations
Issue parking tickets or warnings to vehicles violating parking rules
Assist members of the public with parking-related queries in a courteous manner
Maintain accurate records of enforcement activities and incidents through detailed report writing
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and other relevant departments as required
Conduct patrols on foot or via patrol vehicle to oversee parking areas and address issues promptly
Enforce time limits, permit requirements, and other parking restrictions effectively
Provide guidance and support to new team members, demonstrating leadership qualities when necessary

Requirements

Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage challenging situations professionally
Strong report writing abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various weather conditions
Valid driving licence; experience driving patrol vehicles is desirable but not essential
Previous experience in parking enforcement or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory
A responsible attitude with integrity and respect for community standards

This role is ideal for individuals committed to maintaining order within public spaces while providing excellent service to the community.

Pay: From £13,440.00 per year

Willingness to travel:

50% (preferred)
