Nights Warehouse Supervisor to join our Maidstone team!

The InPost Newstrade division specialises in final-mile delivery for newspaper publishers and magazine distributors, covering 75% of the UK and Ireland with a 45% market share. Operating from 36 locations, it delivers almost 1bn newspapers, magazines, and collectibles to around 21,000 customers. The division includes core final-mile operations, magazine primary distribution, corporate distribution, outsourced retail consultancy, and airside media placement.

Are you looking for a role where your leadership truly makes a difference? At InPost Newstrade, one of the UK’s leading distribution brands, we’re seeking a motivated and driven Night Warehouse Supervisor to help shape performance and build a high performing team within our fast paced overnight operation.

As a key leader on the warehouse floor, you’ll do more than manage night to night activity you’ll lead by example, inspire your team, and create a positive, results driven culture. Your influence will be central to achieving productivity targets, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring smooth, efficient operations throughout the night shift.

Location: Unit C Larkfield Industrial Estate, New Hythe Lane, Aylesford, ME20 6SW

Shift Pattern: Saturday - Wednesday

Hours: Saturday 01:00am - 10:00pm / 01:00am - 07:00am

Salary: £29,000 per annum

What you’ll be doing:

Lead and inspire a dedicated Night Returns Warehouse team, driving performance and fostering a positive, results-focused culture during the overnight shift.
Collaborate closely with Warehouse Management to ensure returns targets are consistently met and exceeded throughout the night.
Serve as the first point of contact for Returns Warehouse Operatives on the night shift, providing hands-on guidance and support to maintain an efficient and accurate workflow.
Proactively identify and resolve operational issues within the returns process, escalating where necessary to keep overnight operations running smoothly.
Champion quality control standards, ensuring all returned stock is processed accurately and in line with company procedures.
Promote and enforce health and safety compliance, setting the standard for safe working practices during night operations.
Deliver effective on-the-job training and coaching, equipping night shift team members with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to succeed.

What we need from you:

Proven experience leading and motivating a warehouse or returns team, ideally in a night shift environment, with a track record of delivering results.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, able to identify issues overnight and take decisive action to keep operations running smoothly.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support and guide your night shift team effectively.
A commitment to quality, accuracy, and health & safety standards in a warehouse setting, ensuring safe and efficient overnight operations.
Ability to train and coach team members, helping them grow and succeed during the night shift.
Right to work in the UK is essential.
