Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our small friendly office team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions and supporting the day-to-day running of our charity's financial operation. Working closely with our Finance Officer, this role offers an opportunity to contribute to our continued success in helping our local community. Experience with accounting software is essential.

Responsibilities:
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Prepare and maintain financial reports
- Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations
- Collaborate with the finance officer to improve financial procedures and processes

Skills:
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- An understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
