Summary
An exciting opportunity has become available for those that have a background in leading and developing curriculum areas that create unique learning opportunities and experiences that meet the varying needs of our students.
We are seeking to appoint an Operational Manager at our York Campus who can make a significant contribution in developing and shaping the college. As well as being the operational lead for the campus you will undertake a specific cross-college lead role in developing and supporting students’ independence needs. If this area of responsibility interests you we will provide training and support to ensure your success.
As a Campus Manager at Linkage Community Trust, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing our educational programs and ensuring that our learners receive the highest quality of support. This position is essential for fostering an inclusive environment where individuals can thrive and achieve their aspirations.
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the campus, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Develop and implement educational programs tailored to the needs of learners with disabilities.
- Collaborate with staff to create individualised support plans for each student.
- Monitor progress and outcomes, adjusting strategies as necessary to enhance learning experiences.
- Engage with families and external stakeholders to promote the services offered by Linkage.
- Lead training sessions for staff on best practices in education for individuals with learning difficulties.
Requirements
Do you…
- want to make a difference to young people’s lives, enabling students with learning difficulties and disabilities become all that they can be?
- have a proven track record in leading and developing unique curriculum areas aligned to EHCP outcomes
- have a thorough understanding of the Education Inspection Framework?
- have extensive experiencing in delivering teaching and learning?
- have extensive experience of working with SEND students and proactively support with crisis management and challenging behaviours.
- have a good understanding of various curriculum areas and supporting qualifications/awarding bodies?
- have the skills, knowledge and experience to conduct observations of teaching learning and assessment?
- have good management and communication skills?
- have a proven track record in writing detailed reports such as, curriculum area self-assessment reports and development plans?
- have a degree in education or a PGCE/Cert-ed qualification, assessors qualification and Level two/equivalent or above in maths and English?
