Depot Activation Manager

Overview

The Depot Activation Manager is responsible for leading, motivating, and developing a team of four Depot Activation Representatives operating across multiple Cash & Carry sites, nationally. The role ensures supplier contractual compliance, strong product visibility, and effective in-depot sales execution while driving team performance, consistency, and high operational standards. This is a field-based role and includes a car allowance.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Performance

Lead, manage, and support a team of four Depot Activation Representatives across a multi-site territory
Set clear objectives and KPIs aligned to sales, compliance, and merchandising standards
Coach, train, and develop team members to maximise performance and product knowledge
Conduct regular field visits, meetings, and one to one performance reviews
Motivate the team to deliver consistent execution and strong customer engagement

Compliance, Merchandising & Standards

Ensure all Cash & Carry depots meet supplier contractual display agreements
Oversee the quality, placement, and maintenance of all display materials
Ensure product ranges are positioned to maximise visibility and customer opportunity
Maintain high standards of presentation, compliance, and brand representation across all sites

Sales & Customer Engagement

Drive focused product and range sales through effective in-depot activity
Support the team in building strong relationships with depot staff and customers
Identify opportunities to increase sales, distribution, and promotional impact
Lead by example through hands-on support when required

Stock & Reporting

Monitor stock levels across depots and address availability issues
Analyse performance data and team feedback to identify trends and opportunities
Provide accurate reporting on compliance, sales activity, and depot performance
Act as the key point of contact between the field team and internal stakeholders

Skills & Experience

Proven experience in field sales, merchandising, or depot/cash & carry environments
Previous people management experience preferred
Strong leadership, coaching, and organisational skills
Commercially aware with a focus on driving results and standards
Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships at all levels
Able to work independently in a field-based role
Full UK driving licence required
