Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Barista to operate our coffee concept. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop barista skills, contribute to an enjoyable customer experience and conceptualise and develop new menu items. The position is paid and suitable for individuals who thrive in a dynamic setting.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
Greet customers warmly, taking their orders accurately and efficiently.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station and store, including cleaning equipment and work surfaces regularly.
Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the point-of-sale system with professionalism.
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service during shifts.
Provide friendly assistance to customers, answering questions about menu items and making recommendations.
Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers.

Requirements

Previous experience as a barista.
Excellent communication skills with a friendly, approachable manner.
Ability to work efficiently.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings and afternoons as required.
Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions accurately.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills within the role.

Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
