About the Role
Correlacion Insurance and Business Services is looking for an organised, accurate and customer-focused Insurance Administrator to support the day-to-day administration of insurance policies, customer records and operational documentation.
The successful candidate will work closely with insurance operations, customer-service, finance and compliance colleagues to process policy information, maintain accurate records, respond to routine enquiries and support the efficient handling of new business, renewals and policy amendments.
This role is suitable for someone with previous experience in insurance administration, financial services, customer operations, policy servicing or general business administration who is comfortable working with confidential information, structured processes and multiple deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Insurance Administration: Provide day-to-day administrative support across insurance operations.
Policy Processing: Process new policies, amendments and renewals according to established procedures.
Policy Records: Maintain complete and accurate customer and policy information.
New Business Support: Assist with administration of new insurance applications.
Renewal Administration: Prepare and process documentation relating to upcoming policy renewals.
Policy Amendments: Update customer or policy information following authorised changes.
Customer Records: Maintain accurate customer contact and account details.
Document Preparation: Prepare routine policy schedules, letters and supporting documentation.
Document Distribution: Issue approved insurance documents to customers or relevant parties.
Policy Documentation: Check that required documentation is complete before processing.
Data Entry: Enter insurance and customer information accurately into relevant systems.
System Updates: Ensure policy status and customer information remain current.
Customer Enquiries: Respond professionally to routine policy and administrative questions.
Telephone Support: Handle incoming calls and direct more complex enquiries appropriately.
Email Administration: Monitor shared insurance or customer-service inboxes.
Policy Status Updates: Provide customers with accurate information about routine policy activity.
Premium Information: Maintain records relating to premiums and payment schedules.
Payment Queries: Assist with routine customer queries relating to insurance payments.
Finance Coordination: Provide policy and payment information to finance colleagues where required.
Direct Debit Administration: Support routine administration of payment instructions where applicable.
Outstanding Payments: Maintain records of overdue premiums and related correspondence.
Refund Administration: Support documentation relating to approved refunds.
Cancellation Processing: Process policy cancellations according to approved procedures.
Reinstatement Support: Assist with administration where policies are reinstated.
Claims Administration: Provide basic administrative support for claims-related documentation where required.
Claims Records: Maintain accurate records of claims correspondence and supporting information.
Document Collection: Request outstanding information required for policy processing.
Customer Correspondence: Prepare professional routine letters and emails.
Broker Coordination: Communicate with brokers or intermediaries on routine administrative matters where applicable.
Insurer Liaison: Coordinate with insurance providers regarding policy documentation and account queries.
Underwriting Support: Provide requested customer and policy information to underwriting colleagues.
Compliance Support: Follow established regulatory and internal-control procedures.
Customer Verification: Assist with routine checks relating to customer information.
Data Protection: Handle personal and financial information according to privacy procedures.
Confidentiality: Maintain appropriate confidentiality when handling customer and business information.
Audit Trail: Maintain clear records of changes, communications and completed actions.
Document Control: Ensure insurance records are filed and stored accurately.
File Maintenance: Keep electronic customer and policy files organised.
Quality Checks: Review completed administrative work for accuracy before final processing.
Exception Handling: Identify incomplete or inconsistent policy information.
Issue Escalation: Refer complex or unusual matters to the appropriate colleague.
Renewal Tracking: Monitor renewal dates and outstanding customer actions.
Deadline Management: Ensure administrative tasks are completed within required service times.
Reporting: Prepare routine reports on policy activity and outstanding work.
Workload Monitoring: Maintain trackers for new business, renewals and administrative actions.
KPI Support: Provide information used to monitor processing times and service performance.
Complaint Administration: Record and route customer complaints according to established procedures.
Process Documentation: Maintain clear instructions for recurring insurance-administration activities.
Cross-Team Support: Work closely with customer service, finance, underwriting and compliance teams.
Continuous Improvement: Contribute ideas that improve administration accuracy, efficiency and customer service.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: Previous experience in insurance administration, financial services, customer service, policy operations or a comparable administrative role.
Insurance Awareness: Basic understanding of insurance policies and customer-servicing processes would be advantageous.
