Overview
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Painter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying high-quality paint finishes to a variety of vehicles, ensuring durability and aesthetic appeal. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a passion for vehicle restoration and finishing. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and possess the necessary technical skills to deliver exceptional results.

Responsibilities

Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion
Mix and match colours accurately to achieve desired finishes
Apply primer, base coats, and clear coats using spray guns or brushes, maintaining consistent quality throughout each project
Use hand tools and power tools to assist in surface preparation and finishing processes
Perform quality checks on painted vehicles to ensure adherence to company standards
Maintain a clean and organised work area, following health and safety regulations at all times
Assist with minor repairs or touch-ups as required to achieve flawless finishes

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge related to vehicle surfaces and painting techniques
Proficiency with hand tools such as sanders, scrapers, and brushes
Experience with power tools including spray guns and sanders is highly desirable
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling vehicle parts or equipment
Attention to detail with an eye for colour matching and finish quality
Good organisational skills to manage multiple projects efficiently
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a busy workshop environment
