Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaning Supervisor/Keyholder/Caretaker to join our team at our school in Manchester (M19 area) . The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene and locking the school down at the end of every evening, as the key holder you will also be responsible for the alarms, i.e if they go off or wont set whilst you are there you will have to stay and sort this (you will be paid extra for any hours over you do). You will also be opening and closing when in the holidays and around the deep cleans and covering for the morning caretaker when he is on annual but again you will get all your hours paid that you work. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who take pride in their work and enjoy creating a welcoming environment for clients and visitors alike. The position involves working in a fast-paced setting, requiring attention to detail, reliability, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces
Ensure all areas are maintained to health and safety standards
Restock cleaning supplies and report any maintenance issues promptly
Clean and sanitise restrooms, kitchens, and communal areas
Follow specific cleaning schedules and procedures as directed by management
Assist with specialised cleaning tasks when required
Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with clients and colleagues
Ordering the stock once per month
Locking the building up (Open and closing when on school holidays)
Cover for the Morning Caretaker and dealing with contractors
Organising the deep clean with the cleaners and your Area Manager

Experience

Previous experience in cleaning
Previous experience in locking schools
Previous experience in dealing with contractors
Good command of English to understand instructions and communicate effectively with team members and clients
Customer service skills to ensure positive interactions with visitors and staff
Strong communication skills to report issues clearly and efficiently

This position is ideal for motivated individuals who are organised, dependable, and eager to contribute to a clean and safe environment. Applicants should possess good communication skills, be able to work independently or as part of a team, and have the ability to follow health and safety guidelines diligently.

Hours are Monday - Friday 3.30pm - 6.30pm and this is a 43 week site so you will be working term time (hours as above) then in school holidays when you complete your 4 weeks deep clean which will be 1 week February, 2 weeks August, 1 week October the hours will be worked during the times of 8am - 3pm which is when the Site Manager Opens and Closes.

£15.00 per hour and we are all paid on the 5th working day of every month
