Salary: £32-35k (dependent on experience)
Hybrid working: based in our Manchester office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday)
Do you instinctively know what’s worth stopping the scroll for?
We’re looking for someone who lives and breathes content - the kind of person who spots a trend before everyone else jumps on it, knows the difference between forced and authentic, and can turn everyday moments into genuinely engaging content.
This role is all about bringing brands to life through smart, platform-native content. From reactive social moments and behind-the-scenes footage to polished campaign shoots, product content and event coverage, you’ll create work that feels culturally relevant, creatively strong, and genuinely engaging.
You’ll need a strong eye for storytelling, a natural feel for what works across different platforms, and the confidence to turn ideas into content quickly - whether that’s short-form social video, longer-form brand storytelling, or jumping on a trend at exactly the right moment.
We’re after someone who’s creative, switched on, and tuned into internet culture - but who also understands the strategy behind the content. Someone who can think beyond just making videos and help shape ideas that build audience connection, brand sentiment, and real engagement. We’re also looking for someone who embraces modern creative tools and workflows - including AI. Whether it’s using AI to speed up ideation, support editing, generate concepts, improve workflows or experiment with new creative formats, we want someone who’s curious about how emerging technology can enhance the way content gets made.
If you’re constantly creating, always spotting opportunities for content, and excited by the idea of helping brands stay culturally relevant in a fast-moving digital world, we’d love to hear from you.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is curious about marketing, people, places, brands and customer behaviour
- A strong understanding of social media platforms, trends and content formats
- Strong knowledge of Premiere Pro, Davinci Resolve and After Effects is a must
- Skills in Photoshop and Lightroom
- Photography skills, and skills in drone piloting/owning a drone license desirable but not required
- Strong working knowledge of modern AI integration methods for video and content creation
- Experience creating engaging social-first content, ideally within an agency or brand environment
- Confident filming and editing video content independently
- Comfortable shooting all kinds of content, from talking heads, to events, to social-first content
- Confident working with Log camera footage in edit and in grade
- A strong eye for storytelling, composition, pacing and visual detail
- Someone who is naturally creative, proactive and full of ideas
- Someone who has an established style in their work, but is adaptable to different video needs
- Can command a room, and feels comfortable leading projects end-to-end
- Experience in Directing/Producing
- Comfortable working reactively and moving quickly when trends or opportunities emerge
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Organised and able to manage multiple projects at once
- Has exceptional time-keeping skills. Experience working to time-sensitive briefs and quick timelines is a must
- A good understanding of what makes content perform across different audiences and platforms
What does a Lead Content Creator at BWP do?
As a marketing agency, we believe strong content sits at the centre of modern brand building. We’re looking for a Lead Content Creator who can help bring brands to life through engaging, platform-native content that connects with audiences in meaningful ways.
You’ll be responsible for creating content across a range of clients from reactive social moments and behind-the-scenes footage to campaign shoots, product content, interviews and event coverage. You’ll even play a key role in producing and directing TV/Hero adverts for many of our clients. Working closely with our Social, Creative, PR and Client Services teams, you’ll help turn ideas into content that feels culturally relevant, strategically thought through, and genuinely engaging.
This role combines creativity with fast thinking, storytelling and a strong understanding of what works across different platforms. No two days will look the same — one day you could be on-site filming content, the next, editing reactive social clips or helping shape ideas for upcoming campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
- Create engaging, platform-native content across TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook and other social platforms
- Film and edit short-form and longer-form video content for social, marketing campaigns and wider brand activity
- Play a role in Directing/Producing larger campaign work/Hero or TV ads depending on experience
- Capture content at shoots, events, client locations and behind-the-scenes moments
- Turn reactive trends, cultural moments and emerging formats into relevant, on-brand content ideas
- Work closely with internal teams including Social, Creative, PR and Client Services to develop content concepts and campaigns
- Support the planning, shooting and delivery of content calendars across multiple brands and clients
- Edit video content using tools such as Premiere Pro, After Effects and Davinci Resolve
- Create content optimised for different platforms, audiences and objectives
- Help maintain a consistent visual style and tone of voice across content outputs
- Monitor platform trends, creator activity and audience behaviour to identify new opportunities
- Contribute creative ideas during campaign planning, brainstorms and client discussions
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment
- Assist with photography, motion content and basic graphic content where needed
- Manage your time effectively, being responsible for keeping on top of your timesheets.
- A commercial frame of mind is crucial.
